Nosy Displays

Watch out when you pass by these displays - small embedded cameras might be watching, profiling and classifying you to then provide custom-tailored information. While this might be a good thing for many application such as security and automated patient reception, the privacy concerns cannot be overlooked. Especially since it will not be long until every display will also be a camera by default so that software could be turned into such capturing and analysis device. MIT Students Turn Internet Into a Sixth Human Sense

This type of fluid interface is just another step in the direction the iPhone has become so popular by: Integrating just-in-time data capture with intuitive interface and data manipulation. The difference here is that the mobile device is just the computing system behind the scenes - the the display (i.e. projection) surface can be any object. Another step into making it hard to distinguish between real and digital world and artifacts.
